The Hyatt Dulles in Herndon, VA (outside of Washington, D.C.) held a groundbreaking on Tuesday, March 9 for their Executive Meeting Center set to open in Fall 2010. The space will add 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space and is expected to achieve LEED certification and IACP accreditation prior to opening. Following the ceremony, Lee Pillsbury of Thayer Lodging welcomed guests over a lunch prepared by the hotel’s chef especially for the event. “The EMC at Hyatt Dulles will provide a new class of meeting center for corporations in the area,” Pillsbury said. “Our combination of exceptional service, modern facilities, and state-of-the-art technology and a focus on environmental-friendly building through a LEED certification will offer a great customer experience.”
